Proton International London is pleased to announce the launch of Precision in Practice, a new webinar series for healthcare professionals, beginning Thursday 24 September 2026 at 6pm.
The series has been developed to support clinicians in understanding the role of proton beam therapy in modern cancer care. As the field continues to evolve, Proton International London wants to play an active role in helping more healthcare professionals understand this treatment, so that more eligible patients are able to access it.
First session: Proton beam therapy for brain and central nervous system tumours
The opening session will be presented by Dr Michael Kosmin, who specialises in the use of radiotherapy and chemotherapy for managing tumours of the brain and central nervous system, with a particular interest in advanced radiotherapy techniques, including stereotactic radiotherapy and proton beam therapy. Dr Kosmin serves as the Royal College of Radiologists’ College Tutor and the local postgraduate medical education lead for clinical oncology, and regularly speaks to both expert and lay audiences on the management of brain tumours.
In this session, Dr Kosmin will discuss the role of proton beam therapy in the management of brain and central nervous system tumours. The session will run for approximately one hour, including time for a live Q&A, and is aimed at oncology healthcare professionals with an interest in this area.
Proton International London is in the process of applying for CPD accreditation for this session, and will confirm this ahead of the event. All attendees will receive a certificate of attendance.
